YWCA appoints Shannon Nagy new Executive Director
YWCA Walla Walla has named Shannon Nagy (pictured above) as its next Executive Director following a national search. She will begin her role on January 20, 2026.
Experience and Background
Shannon brings more than 15 years of executive leadership experience in the nonprofit sector. Her work has focused on guiding organizations through periods of growth and change while strengthening teams and internal systems.
Most recently, Shannon served as Executive Director of Hutch Kids Early Learning Center in Seattle. In that role, she led multimillion-dollar budgets, supervised more than 50 staff members, and managed complex public grant portfolios. Her leadership has been grounded in anti-bias and trauma-informed practices.

Shannon joins YWCA Walla Walla during an important moment in the organization’s long history of service and advocacy. Founded in 1917, YWCA Walla Walla is dedicated to eliminating racism, empowering women, and promoting peace, justice, freedom, and dignity for all.
The organization’s Domestic Violence and Sexual Assault Resource Center provides emergency shelter, trauma-informed counseling, advocacy, and support programs such as LiNC, a life skills program for domestic violence survivors. YWCA Walla Walla also operates two licensed early learning and childcare centers, My Friends’ House in Walla Walla and RoseMary’s Place in Dayton, along with enrichment and leadership programs that strengthen families and expand opportunities.
