Sponsorship Opportunities
A letter from our Executive Director:
Dear Friend of the YWCA,
I hope this message finds you well. On behalf of YWCA Walla Walla, I am reaching out to invite you to partner with us as a sponsor of our 27th Annual Leadership Luncheon on May 6, 2026, at the Marcus Whitman Hotel Ballroom.
Each year, more than 400 community members gather for this inspiring event to celebrate leadership, strengthen community connections, and raise critical support for YWCA programs serving survivors of domestic violence, empowering girls through leadership development, and providing safe, stable spaces for families in our region.
Corporate sponsorship of the Leadership Luncheon is more than event visibility - it is a meaningful investment in safety, equity, and opportunity for women and children in Walla Walla and Columbia County. Our sponsors are recognized not simply for making an event possible, but for making our work possible.
We invite you to partner with YWCA Walla Walla in supporting the Leadership Luncheon. Enclosed, you will find details outlining the sponsorship opportunities available and the ways your organization can help advance our mission. To ensure inclusion in event materials and recognition leading up to the luncheon, we kindly request that sponsorship commitments be confirmed by April 17, 2026.
Your partnership would demonstrate a strong commitment to building a safer and more equitable community while connecting your organization with engaged local leaders and advocates. I would welcome the opportunity to visit with you personally about how this partnership can align with your company’s goals and community priorities. Please feel free to reach out to me directly at development@ywcaww.org.
Thank you for your continued commitment to strengthening our community. We are deeply grateful for partners like you.
Sincerely,
Shannon Nagy, Executive Director

Table Captains
Leadership Luncheon Table Captain Guide
Thank you for your interest in serving as a Table Captain for YWCA Walla Walla’s Leadership Luncheon. Your support helps bring together community members to celebrate resilience, raise awareness, and support the YWCA’s mission of empowering survivors and advancing social justice. Each year, more than 400 community members attend this event to support YWCA programs and make a lasting impact on our shared community.
Your Role as a Table Captain - Table Captains help make the event successful by inviting guests and creating a welcoming experience at their table. We ask that you:
● Invite guests: Consider inviting friends, colleagues, neighbors, or others who care about supporting our community. Tables seat 10, and you may choose to fill all seats or share the table with another captain. Guests may purchase their own tickets or be hosted by the captain. Luncheon tickets are $65 per person.
● Share why you care about YWCA: A personal invitation is the most powerful way to inspire others to attend and learn about the impact of YWCA programs.
● Welcome your guests: On the day of the luncheon, greet your guests and introduce them to others at your table to help create a welcoming experience.
● Thank your guests: Let them know how much you appreciate their support and their interest in the YWCA’s mission.
Why This Event Matters - Funds raised through the luncheon support YWCA programs that provide safety for survivors of domestic violence and sexual assault, empower girls through the Mariposa leadership program, and create supportive spaces for women and families. Programs like LiNC help survivors rebuild confidence and reclaim their power.
Helpful Invitation Language - You might invite someone by saying: "I’m hosting a table at the YWCA Leadership Luncheon on May 6. It’s a powerful event that highlights the work being done to support survivors of domestic violence, sexual assault and empower girls. I’d love for you to join me."
Questions? For any questions and more information please reach out to: (509) 525-2570 | development@ywcaww.org.
Table Captain sponsorship deadline will be April 11th, 2026.

Keynote Speakers
Each year, the YWCA Leadership Luncheon features keynote speakers who share powerful stories, insights, and calls to action. Their voices inspire our community to reflect, connect, and take meaningful steps toward creating a safer, more equitable future.
The 2026 Annual Luncheon Speaker is Barry Goldstein. Barry Goldstein is one of the leading national and international experts regarding domestic violence. He has a unique range of experiences that include service as a board member to a local battered women’s shelter, attorney for domestic violence survivors, instructor in a NY Model Batterer Program and writer of some of the leading books and articles in the field. He has a strong grasp of the most current and important research concerning domestic violence and innovative ideas for using the research to create the needed reforms. His topic for this year's luncheon is the economic impact of domestic violence on communities.
