The Clothesline Project

Picture shows three t-shirts with partly obscured messages against violence and abuse.

Many community members have created moving statements against domestic violence, assault, and abuse on T-shirts. Come check them out at the YWCA or at St. Mary Medical Center during the Week Without Violence, Oct. 18-20. Learn more about the project at ywcaww.org/clothesline/.

Wednesday, Oct. 18: Walk of remembrance

Passerby stops to add flowers to a domestic violence memorial, a brief narrative with two shoes on top to represent a life lost.
On Wednesday, Oct. 18, we’ll remember lives lost in 2022 in Washington State.

Each year we remember the women, men, and children whose lives were lost to domestic violence in the previous year during the YWCA Week Without Violence. This year we are meeting at the YWCA at 6 p.m. to reflect on those losses, share our Clothesline Project display, and walk around the YWCA Wednesday, Oct. 18.
