What We Do

  • Domestic Violence Services

Through counseling, support groups, legal and medical advocacy, shelter services and more, the YWCA Domestic Violence & Sexual Assault Resource Center ensures that women and children have access to what they need to begin rebuilding their lives after violence.

  • Sexual Assault Services

Sexual assault is an act of violence and a crime. It includes any involuntary sexual act in which a person is threatened, coerced, or forced to engage against their will, or any sexual touching of a person who has not consented. Sexual assault is always the perpetrator’s fault, never the victim’s.

  • Crisis Line

YWCA Walla Walla offers a 24/7 crisis line, connecting survivors and community members to immediate support, safety planning, and resources. Compassionate advocates are always available to listen and help in times of need.

  • Safety Planning

YWCA offers personalized safety planning to help survivors of domestic violence prepare for and navigate dangerous situations. Advocates work one-on-one to identify risks, explore options, and create practical steps tailored to each individual’s needs.

  • Safe Shelter

YWCA Walla Walla provides safe, confidential shelter for individuals and families escaping domestic violence. Our shelter offers security, support, and resources to help survivors begin their journey toward healing and stability.

  • Childcare

We see supporting families as central to our prevention work of building healthy relationships, so the YWCA offers two licensed, quality childcare programs. We provide even the youngest children with thoughtful, healthy and fun opportunities to grow.

  • Youth + Adult Empowerment

YWCA Walla Walla empowers youth and adults through programs that build confidence, leadership, resilience, and stronger community connections.

  • Legal Advocacy

YWCA Walla Walla offers legal advocacy to support survivors navigating the justice system. We provide guidance, accompaniment, and resources to help individuals understand their rights and access the protections they need.

  • Medical Advocacy

YWCA Walla Walla provides medical advocacy to support survivors during exams and treatment. Our advocates offer compassion, information, and guidance to help individuals feel safe, informed, and empowered in healthcare settings.

  • Direct Advocacy

YWCA Walla Walla advocates for equity and safety through direct support, policy change, and community education. By raising awareness and influencing systems, we work to create lasting social change and a more just community.

  • Counseling + Support Groups

YWCA Walla Walla offers counseling and support groups for survivors of domestic violence and their families. These services provide a safe space to process experiences, build coping skills, and connect with others on the path to healing.

  • LiNC Classes

LiNC classes at YWCA Walla Walla support survivors of domestic violence as they rebuild their lives. Through education, peer connection, and practical skills, participants gain confidence and tools for creating safe, independent futures.

  • Fun Factory

YWCA Fun Factory is a mobile ten-week summer recreation program that visits neighborhoods throughout the Walla Walla Valley. The Fun Factory brings FREE outdoor fun, crafts, games and other activities to places where kids gather.
