Safe Shelter
YWCA Walla Walla offers shelter to women and children escaping domestic violence.
We have two shelters: the women’s residence, and the family shelter. Both are located in Walla Walla. The YWCA women’s residence has 13 rooms, plus cribs and youth beds. The family shelter has 15 beds, plus cribs and youth beds. The family shelter was built to accommodate larger families and families with boys 10-17 years old.
Both shelters have family-style living, shared kitchens, shared bathrooms, and small private bedrooms that adjoin if necessary to accommodate larger families.
Shelter admission requires an intake meeting with a YWCA Advocate.
Please call our office at 509-525-2570 Monday through Friday between 9:00 am and 5:00 pm, or our 24-Hour Crisis Line, 509-529-9922 to inquire further.
